Candee Teitel has been training dogs since the age of 5, when the family collie was her one and only subject. At the age of 15, she took her first part time job caring for Miniature Schnauzers on a grand estate on Long Island Sound in Connecticut. For the next several years, she worked with local veterinarians while studying Biology in college. Post college, and graduate studies in Ethology (the social behavior of animals), she ended up at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. It was the position of a life time.
Candee’s arrival in Arkansas led to her getting a mastiff and beginning formal training at the Little Rock Dog Training Club, where she was a Board member and trainer. Competitive obedience followed, with her mastiff becoming the most titled mastiff in AKC history for 3 yrs in a row. She put beginner to advanced obedience titles on her GSD and mastiffs, as well as Rally, Tracking, and Conformation titles. She opened her own business in town more than 25 yrs. ago, and enjoys a wonderful reputation as a talented and caring dog trainer.
